Parents search our system to find an available sitter they want to reserve. When a sitter is reserved, our system automatically notifies the sitter with an email and a text message. The sitter is expected to respond to your request within 12 hours. After accepting the request, the sitter is asked to call the family within 12 hours to verbally accept the appointment and discuss the job details with the parent member (except after 9 p.m., in which case, sitters are expected to call the following morning).

Yes, the system is designed for your personalized requests. If you are looking for a sitter on Friday August 6th from 7pm to 11pm. The search result will only show you sitters who are available for that exact date and time. The system will also only match you with sitters who have experience with your children’s exact ages. 

SitterCentral doesn’t make any money off the actual babysitting job. You pay the sitter directly with venmo, cash or check at the end of the babysitting job. The sitters hourly rate is displayed on her profile. .
