Rachel Logan

Chief Executive Officer

I enjoy children – their innocent joys, their energy and laughter, as well as their amusing viewpoints on life! I love being able to positively influence a child’s growth, development, and happiness. Making a difference in just one child’s life is priceless – and a privilege.

As a babysitter since the age of 12, I have a personal understanding of the importance of finding a consistent, caring, and responsible sitter to care for your children while you are away from home. After all, your children are your greatest gift and finding a suitable substitute caregiver is one of the most difficult challenges for a parent.

A Chicago native, I moved to Dallas to finish a double degree in Child Psychology and Business Administration at Southern Methodist University. While there, I was able to accept some babysitting jobs for families who lived near campus. The biggest problem was turning down jobs due to scheduling conflicts. I heard from many other students who were experiencing the same difficulties. I was inspired to create a win-win solution for both students and families. From that desire, SitterCentral Dallas was launched – a web based network that matches qualified sitters with local families. Parents have the peace of mind knowing an experienced sitter will show up on time to care for their child(ren), and sitters know that they will be working for great families.

This unique concept has proven to meet the needs of both the parent and the sitter. It is my desire to enable other cities to benefit from the huge success experienced in Dallas. Franchising opportunities are now available in other cities across the country as we seek to positively influence young lives, assist parents by ensuring availability of qualified sitters, and encourage young people to find satisfying jobs and careers in the area of child development. I hope you enjoy using this site as much as I have enjoyed creating it for you!
